Part of my December 31, 2010 challenge (besides the obvious - lose weight)...is to post on a more regular basis.
Therefore, even though I had a hell of day at work, even though I worked eleven hours again, and even though I'm past the point of exhaustion, here I am. Another short post without any inspiring words.
Absolutely no exercise today, although my eating was great. I'm actually too busy and too stressed to give much thought to food. I'm eating, but at work I usually eat my lunch. I've brought home most of my snacks every day this week.
When I left my office at eight tonight, I had really good intentions to stop at the gym on my way. I talked myself out of it before I got there. I'm was too exhausted. Plus, I really hate evening workouts. The free weights areas (we have two at my gym), are packed at night with guys hoisting 50-pound dumbbells (show offs!). I don't really mind all that testerone, but it's much quieter in the early mornings. It's like the gym belongs to me in the mornings. At night I'm just one of the masses.Tomorrow Im to back morning workouts.
My journey through life, as I attempt a healthy lifestyle. Both physically and mentally. I live in the Pacific Northwest, but I'm from the great state of Alaska. I'm a software engineer, and I'm nearing my retirement years. It's a beautiful day to be alive!

I like my morning exercises.... cant motivate myself much in the evening
If you have to chose one and your goal is dropping weight, then eating on program is the most important thing and you accomplished that. Great job!
Evening exercise is difficult for me, too. My preference is to be able to get it out of the way early and coast for the rest of the day.
I like pizza with pepperoni, oh testosteroni,...my bad.. Morning workouts sounds great..
I love morning workouts, but have had to switch to afternoons because of my schedule. I think one of the reasons I like morning is because I don't have as much time to talk myself out of it. :)
I'm a night workout person myself but that is more about time than anything. I'm with Roxie that if your food was good you did well yesterday. I think our bodies do need a day off from the big workouts and it sounds like yours was telling you that you needed some rest.
